JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT MATTS KILLER, ADAM CATTERALL, HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF CARELESS DRIVING, RECEIVED £1,000 FINE AND 18 MTH DRIVING BAN, SO TO ALL OUT THERE, YOU CAN DRIVE AT 80MPH, OVERTAKE WHERE YOU WANT, BASICALLY DO WHAT YOU LIKE, KILL A PERSON AND IT WILL ONLY COST YOU £1,OOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MATTS BEEN LET DOWN IN LIFE AND NOW IN DEATH.
Matthew died after the car he was travelling in collided with a taxi in the early hours of Saturday 3rd February. He had been working at Solo restaurant that night, and matt, adam and kieron decided to go and get something to eat after work, as Kieron had just come home from Iraq that day where he was a TA soldier. He suffered terrible head injuries, but is improving slowly. Matt was sat in the back, WITH his seatbelt on, but as the car spun, he got the full impact of the oncoming taxi. We just hope he didnt suffer.
He was born on 13th Aug 1988, by caesarian and was 9lb 4oz!!!! He has a sister called Chloe who is 16yrs. Matt went to Sherwood Primary School, then Broughton High School. He was not very academic, but decided to go to Cardinal Newman College, to do media studies which he excelled at. He loved football, especially Chelsea FC, where he used to go with his dad often. Matt did so very well at college and loved every minute of it. He was a popular student with all. They planted a tree for him, in the lovely grounds. Pat, one of his teachers will visit it every week. Matt then went on to UCLAN to study sports journalism. He was in his first year. UCLAN have dedicated an award to matt, which means the winner of the Matt Hesketh Award will get to work with Chelsea FC press team in London, for a month. How Matt would have loved that!!!! We are very touched at this as its such a fitting tribute to our dearly loved son, matt.
Matts best friends were Steven, Pete, Ben, Josh and not forgetting the lovely Lauren. He met lots of new friends at Newman and UCLAN, too many to mention.
Matts favourite things were CFC, Snooker, Playstation,Friends and his music.
He loved his family who are mum (hilary), dad (andrew), sister and best friend Chloe, his grump and pop, his uncle Rog, Aunty Sue, Aunty Kate, Uncle Andy, Uncle Reuben and cousins Laura and James.
He was also very close to his godfather,Pete, who made Matt his 3rd daughters godfather, he was looking forward to this, but died before the christening. He is still godfather to Freya on paper tho.
Matthew was a special boy and will be terribly missed. He had a caring personality that touched everyone he met, he was able to communicate with people on all levels and he was a wonderful son who never gave us any problems. He lived life to the full, but that life was far far too short. We were / are, so so so proud of him. We miss him more than words can say.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxRIP son, till we meet again.xxxxxxxxxxx
